Day 1 – Welcome to Neiva, the Gateway to Huila
Meet and greet at Benito Salas Airport or the Bus Terminal, followed by a private transfer to your selected hotel for check-in and the start of this journey through the heart of southern Colombia.
Located on the banks of the majestic Magdalena River, Neiva is a warm, lively city steeped in tradition, renowned for its Opita culture, traditional cuisine, and welcoming atmosphere. This destination serves as the ideal starting point for discovering the unique natural landscapes, cultural richness, and authentic experiences of the department of Huila.
In the evening, we will enjoy a special welcome dinner, perfect for kicking off the trip by connecting with the region’s distinctive flavors and hospitality.

Day 2 – Mano del Gigante: Landscapes, Coffee, and Huila Traditions
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a departure for one of Huila’s most iconic destinations: Mano del Gigante, a stunning natural viewpoint nestled among mountains and coffee plantations.
During the tour, we’ll make scenic stops at the Betania Dam and the Quimbo Dam, two natural settings offering spectacular views perfect for photos and connecting with nature.
Afterward, we’ll ascend the mountain to experience the famous La Mano del Gigante viewpoint, a gigantic structure suspended over the landscape that has become one of the department’s most visited tourist icons. From there, you’ll enjoy a privileged view of mountains, valleys, and lakes that make this place an unforgettable experience.
The day continues with a delicious traditional Huila lunch accompanied by a drink, followed by a coffee and barista experience, where you’ll learn more about the aromas and flavors of Colombian coffee. Additionally, we’ll enjoy a traditional amasijos experience, representative of the local cuisine.

Day 3 – Tatacoa Desert: An Extraordinary Landscape
Breakfast at the hotel, then departure for one of Colombia’s most stunning natural landscapes: the breathtaking Tatacoa Desert.
This magical destination, famous for its reddish and gray formations, offers unique landscapes that seem to be from another planet. During the tour, we will visit the desert’s most iconic areas:
El Cusco, known for its reddish hues and natural labyrinths
Los Hoyos, a gray-toned landscape ideal for enjoying the desert’s natural contrast
Throughout the experience, we’ll enjoy interpretive walks, spectacular landscapes, and numerous spots perfect for unforgettable photos.
The tour includes a traditional lunch at a local restaurant within the desert and, as an optional activity, a visit to the Astronomical Observatory, where you can admire one of the clearest skies in the country and enjoy a unique stargazing experience (activity subject to weather conditions).
In the afternoon/evening, return to Neiva.

Day 4 – Farewell to Huila
